So...consider that a warning, because this week I'm sharing Playwell Bricks' saddest story.🥹 😢 💧

Big, deep breath and let's go:

A client approached Playwell Bricks last year to see if it was possible to have a custom set designed of his family home. Just the house, he explained. He wanted his kids, aged 5 and 7, to do what they wished with the interior. 🏡 👪

It was a few messages later that the client disclosed that he’d received a terminal diagnosis and this set was intended as a legacy gift. 😟 😩 🎁

The Playwell Bricks team quickly agreed that they would do the design of the house for free, and only charge for the parts. Working from the blueprints, Playwell designer Shimon Bogomolov worked on the house while the rest of the team watched in the wings, ready to help out if needed. 🧱 🏡

The client was ecstatic about the early renders, but then all communication stopped. 🙍

Jason feared the worst. Soon, he discovered he was right. The client had sadly passed away. 😔

But not before he had commissioned this beautiful, final Christmas gift for his family. You can be assured that Jason made sure the family had it in plenty of time for the holiday. The whole team at Playwell Bricks hopes this very special model will always fill them with memories of the happy years they spent as a family in this house. 🎁 🏡 👪

It's both meaningful and emotionally heavy to work on a project like this, and I'd like to take a moment and shout out to the team for taking this on.❤️

I do have to get back to the business side of this newsletter and drop a few of my trademark/terrible jokes to cheer you up, but it did feel like we needed this little break before I do that.😌
