How this Custom Set Helped Matrix NDI Rack up the Holiday Cheer

The Challenge
Before coming to their discovery call, Playwell’s contact at Matrix NDI looked through the Playwell Brick’s brickfolio and admired the server racks previously designed for NetApp. They were interested in something similar, but a design that would really show off the cabling involved. “Cabling is really our bread and butter,” they explained. “We want to see that represented in some way.”
The Solution
“Never judge a book by its cover,” Playwell Bricks designer Petrus recalls. “I used the previous design as a base, expecting that I would just tweak it a bit to fit the client’s requirements, but I ended up redesigning almost the whole model internally. The specific cable details on the front that the client requested had a large impact on the internals of the models.”
Decals of Matrix NDI’s logo on both sides of the racking were the finishing touches on this custom set, allowing Playwell Bricks to begin bulk manufacturing the 500 sets to fulfill this order.
The Result
