In Wilmington, North Carolina, Genki Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar wanted to create a heartfelt gift to celebrate the soul of their business: Chef Danny. Known to customers and followers as a true artist of Japanese cuisine, Chef Danny’s talent and presence are central to the restaurant’s identity.

To honor him, Genki partnered with Playwell Bricks to create a custom Brickheadz™-style figure in his likeness. With his iconic sushi hat, personalized apron, and even a tiny minifig sword for a knife, the build captured his essence in charming detail.

This wasn’t just a fun keepsake, it was a symbol of appreciation. The set allowed Genki to share a meaningful gift with customers and staff that celebrates the chef behind the counter, reinforcing the emotional connection people already had with the restaurant. In a world of generic giveaways, this one stood out by being personal, playful, and deeply authentic.

At the other end of the scale, Belgian telecom giant Proximus came to us with a bold idea: create a custom superhero to celebrate and empower their business partners.

Working closely with their team, Playwell Bricks designers developed an original character complete with a prosthetic arm, VR-inspired helmet, and a cape that read “Proximus Business Partner.” Built in Proximus’ brand colors and proudly wearing the company logo, the superhero represented both strength and inclusion.

The finished sets were sent out as gifts to key partners. And the impact? Powerful. It wasn’t just a token of appreciation, it was a recognition of partnership, a celebration of shared success, and a way to turn business relationships into stories worth telling.
