Last year, Advance Displays came to Playwell Bricks to commission a custom Playwell Bricks set of Lozier’s gondola shelving to celebrate their partnership with Lozier. The resulting set was a hit with their recipients and Lozier, so when Advance Displays had something new to celebrate, they knew just what to do.

This time, the sets were redesigned to celebrate the opening of Advance Display’s new distribution center in Scottsboro, Alabama (U.S.A.). This new center will allow Advance Displays to reach most U.S. retailers within three days. Now that’s a reason to celebrate!
As part of this redesign, the white shelves were recreated in dark red bricks and the sticker on the back of the shelves, which previously celebrated the partnership, would now recognize Advance Displays as the “largest distributor of Lozier shelving” featuring a map of the U.S. with their distribution points in Utah and now Alabama, marked with a star.
In a set like this, designer José Bañuelos explains the focus is on “function over design, as simple as possible.” When he designed the original gondola shelving set, he said, “The main challenge was in creating an easy way of stacking and detaching the shelves so the client could personalize their model as they wanted.”
