Welker, Inc. is a manufacturer and proven leader in smart odorization systems. For those not in the industry, odorization is the process of adding a compound called mercaptan to natural gas (which is naturally odorless and colorless). This compound gives what is otherwise an odor-free gas a strong smell of rotten eggs, allowing leaks to be detected quickly and keeping properties and communities safe. Welker, Inc. provides this service on the industrial level, from gas utilities to pipeline operators.

Welker Inc. commissioned a custom Playwell Bricks set that they could use across the gifting spectrum, from tradeshow gifts to milestone gifts for their team members and representatives. The best way to create something so universal, they determined, would be to recreate one of their patented manufacturing products, the OdorEyes™ by Welker ECOsystem™.

Playwell Bricks designer Isaac Wilder recreated this product in bricks, paying close attention to the details that Playwell’s contact at Welker advised were important. An important part of this process was understanding where the client wanted the OdorEyes™ logo to be to best match the original and ensuring that these surfaces were smooth and stud-free.

Once completed, produced, and delivered, these custom Playwell Bricks sets provide Welker, Inc. with an on-brand gift that will work from tradeshows to customer gifts. Likewise, this custom set also gives Welker’s recipients the experience of building their product one brick at a time, deepening their relationship to Welker with fun and positivity.
