Urgo Medical North America is planning to open a plant in Texas, U.S.A., where the manufacturing of Vashe, the top wound cleanser in U.S. hospitals, will happen. With a milestone happening at this scale, the team at Urgo wanted a promotional gift that could work just as efficiently for board members at pre-openings, to all the future dedications and openings to happen until the plant is in full operation and production.

Working with renders of the future plant, Playwell Bricks designer Garrett Gourley designed this custom set, taking care to include the unique architectural points that Urgo requested. These included warehouse doors in the rear, the “signature brown loop” near the front doors, and a bit of greenery to cheer the space. It was important, they told Garrett, that this set wasn’t just a rectangular building.

Urgo itself would be represented with decals representing their brand logo. Originally, there were meant to be two logos; the large, centered one you can see in the photos, and another, smaller one. In this case, a compromise had to be made between the unique, architectural features and the secondary logo. While Playwell’s designers can play with space to some extent, these features locked in the sizing, making the required logo too small to be printed with accuracy. In this case, it was left off to avoid such inaccuracies.

Once the design was approved, the Playwell Bricks team moved this set into production, creating the build instructions, decals, and delivering the sets to Texas for Urgo Medical North America’s first event. The team at Urgo soon got back to Playwell with this feedback:
