The team at Sysdig had been working hard to develop Lumin, a cephalopod mascot built to guide Sysdig team members through the vastness of cloud architecture. Sysdig Creative Director Travis Anderson hints at the work and thought that went into this mascot in a video posted to Sysdig’s LinkedIn where he said, “we needed to make sure [Lumin] resonated with the people who are doing the hard work, who are doing the innovation and the building here [at Sysdig] every day.”

Now that Lumin was fully developed, Sysdig wanted Playwell Bricks to create a custom brick set of this important cephalopod, using the build instructions to build on to the character they’d created of Lumin.

Playwell Bricks team member Eric Dubois Yang designed this custom Lumin set to the client’s specifications, creating this Sysdig-green, fully poseable cephalopod, including a platform to hold it up while its tentacles swim free.

The build instructions included Sysdig content on every page, taking advantage of the builder’s attention to explain how Lumin relates to the work they do at Sysdig, building on metaphor while also building the character.
