M. Y. Sans Skyflakes is a leading cracker brand in the Philippines and beloved of Filipinos across the world. When the team at Skyflakes wanted to create a custom gift that reflected their brand and culture, they reached out to Playwell Bricks to commission a custom set.

The client explained that they wanted a custom Skyflakes jeepney to give away as a promotional item and a corporate gift. They wanted this set to be created in the Skyflakes colours with their logo proudly displayed.

With this idea, the client paired two icons of Filipino culture: their crackers and a popular means of transportation in the Philippines. Jeepneys, unlike the more Western models of jeeps, are known for their ample seating and creative, colourful décor. By leaning into their target audience, they’re creating something that will be instantly recognizable as a nod to Filipino culture.

Playwell Bricks team member Eric Dubois Yang was delighted to design such a fun and unusual vehicle.  The client liked the first concept, but requested that Eric give the front of the vehicle a boxier shape.

Eric produced a new concept, incorporating that boxier front end and tweaking the design until the client was happy with their set. The Playwell graphics team recreated the Skyflakes as a decal to be attached to the sides of the Jeepney and sent the completed set to the client for final approvals.

Once the client gave the okay, this iconic, custom Skyflakes jeepney set moved into production and delivery.

With this custom Skyflakes jeepney set, Skyflakes has a promotional item and corporate gift that celebrates Filipino culture. By leaning into their target audience, they’ve created something that will serve to further embed the Skyflakes brand into the local culture, and a gift they’ll truly treasure.
