A contact from Rogers Corporation set up a discovery call with Playwell Bricks, explaining that they were looking to commission a giveaway item for an upcoming conference. The conference, they explained, centered on building partnerships with their customers.

They took the building part seriously, which led them to consider brick sets. Their vision was a set that showcased the Rogers Corporation logo. Building Growth, Powered by Partnership would be its name.

Playwell Bricks designer Eric Dubois Yang created this custom set. “We decided at the beginning that we’d have a sticker to represent the finer details of the logo, as brick building them would mean a lot more thickness and a lot more parts,” he explained. “That kind of thickness and parts count isn’t great in contrast for a clean experience. I like the elegance of the two layers superposed against each other.”

The only request that the client had was that Eric add a stand to the back of the logo. This, too, was built of bricks, created to mimic the metal stands often seen on modern frames.

The client made sure to place marketing copy in this set’s build instructions, which will serve to remind their recipients that Rogers Corporation is who they want to turn to for “high performance engineered materials that get the job done.”
