Play’n GO is a gaming entertainment supplier for the casino industry with a portfolio of over 400 games. One of their popular game series, Rich Wilde, was approaching the tenth anniversary of its debut, Rich Wilde and the Book of the Dead, so Play’n GO contacted Playwell Bricks to see what kind of custom set was possible.

Because Play’n GO is in the casino sector, they’re familiar with limitations. The client explained that they wanted a brick set to commemorate Rich Wilde and the Book of the Dead that they could offer in their online store.

The Playwell team explained that due to limitations, brand-name bricks as well as minifigures would not be possible. However, the team could design a brick-built character set of Rich Wilde. After sharing examples of other brick-built characters Playwell Bricks had designed, the Play’n GO client agreed.

This custom Rich Wilde set came to life brick by brick until the adventurer stood tall, holding his Book of the Dead in his hand. Decals matched this Book of the Dead to the one in the game, and another sticker added Rich’s facial features. His tumbled hair, however, was all brick sculpting.
With addition stickers on the base to host the Play’n GO logo and Rich Wilde’s name, this set was ready for production.
