Building the custom set made with, in part, genuine LEGO® bricks F-111 Aardvark, was a great opportunity to immortalize all its pioneering avionics and technology, including the radar assembly beneath the fuselage for the F-111’s groundbreaking automated terrain-following radar. 

The Aardvark was also the trailblazer for variable-sweep wings, which have a realistic range of motion in our custom model, as well as afterburning turbofan engines, reproduced here with clever build techniques to faithfully capture the cylindrical shapes.
