In their own words, Picis is a “global provider of clinical information solutions focused on automating the full perioperative experience through one contiguous patient record.” As part of the launch of Picis Prima, a mobile anesthesia solution that runs on a tablet, a representative of Picis approached Playwell Bricks to commission a custom set.

During their discovery call, the client explained they wanted an operating room scene, complete with a doctor and a fish tank. The fish tank, they explained, should house a blue fish. This fish is a Picis mascot named Peri, who has been known to make an appearance on Picis’ social media streams (pun intended). For the brand, Peri is a physical representation of how Picis teams stay aligned and navigate on course. It wouldn’t be a proper Picis set without them.

In addition to the fish and the hospital bed, this set should also include an anesthesia machine. While every Playwell Bricks comes with two decals included, the client informed the team that would order extra; two decals to show the working of the anesthesia machine, the Picis logo on the floor of the operating room (OR), one for the tablet with the Picis Prima logo, and a final decal on the fish tank, naming the fish as Peri.

Playwell Bricks team member Eric Dubois Yang designed this custom OR set. He especially enjoyed the inclusion of Peri the fish, “it makes the final composition so much richer.”

The Playwell Bricks graphics team created the decals that the client requested, as well as embedding Picis’ marketing content in the build instructions. This content introduced Picis’ brand, the Prima program, and also invited set recipients to share their finished builds on social media, using dedicated Picis hashtags.
