How this Custom Set Helped to Launch Digitized Anesthesia Documentation Software
Introduction
Picis is a “global provider of clinical information solutions focused on automating the full perioperative experience through one contiguous patient record.” As part of the launch of their mobile anesthesia solution run from a tablet, Picis Prima, a representative of Picis approached Playwell Bricks to commission a custom set.
The Challenge
The client explained requesting an operating room scene, complete with a doctor, tablet, and a fish tank. The fish tank would house the Picis mascot, a fish named Peri, presumably for perioperative, a clinical term for the lead-up to surgery, the operation itself, and the period just after. For the Picis brand, Peri is a physical representation of how Picis teams stay aligned and navigate on course.
The scene should also include an anesthesia machine. While every Playwell Bricks comes with two decals included, the client informed the team that they would order extra; two decals to show the working of the anesthesia machine, the Picis logo on the floor of the operating room, one for the tablet with the Picis Prima logo, and a final decal on the fish tank, naming the fish as Peri.
The Solution
Playwell Bricks team member Eric Dubois Yang designed this custom operating room set. He especially enjoyed the inclusion of Peri the fish, “it makes the final composition so much richer.”
The decals were taken care of by the Playwell graphics team, in spaces Eric made sure to include in the design.
The Result
The final Picis Prima showcases and operating room, complete with Peri’s fish tank, the operating bed, anesthesia machine complete with decals showing its functions, and a doctor holding a tablet with Picis Prima onscreen. This custom-designed set, complete with marketing content embedded in the build instructions, is a unique and engaging promotional item to be included in Picis’ Prima launch.
