At their discovery call, a representative from Pentair explained that they host an annual leadership meeting for their top executives and sales leaders. The client explained their vision: a beach scene, possibly of a wave cresting over the Pentair logo of a cleverly stylized fish.

Playwell Bricks designer Norman Roldan listened carefully to this vision and began his design. “What stood out to me was how easily the Pentair corporate logo lent itself to the use of triangular tiles. It was almost as if the logo was designed using brick pieces,” Norm says with a laugh.

“It was very pleasurable to design the wave, as it felt more like sculpting nature. I referenced plenty of ocean wave stock photography as a source of inspiration and to do my best to imbue the essence of its most characteristic features.”
