MilliporeSigma was set to launch their new product, PURedit® Cas9 Cytosine Base Editors, while also preparing for an upcoming tech talk at the American Society for Cell Biology. “We’d like something that could help us promote our product and drive adoption and engagement,” Playwell’s contact at MilliporeSigma explained during their discovery call.

Playwell Bricks has designed custom DNA helix sets before, so Playwell CEO Jason Pyett shared those with the client, who was intrigued. After some discussion, they decided that they’d like to see a DNA strand done all in the one colour, with the exception of one brick.

“That one brick could be a contrasting colour, because the product we’re promoting changes one nucleotide,” they said, with some excitement.

Both teams ran with this idea, using MilliporeSigma’s brand colours and logos on the base of the DNA strand.

Likewise, a marketing page with further details about the new PURedit® Cas9 Cytosine Base Editors product is featured within the build instructions, where it will be seen while their recipients are fully engaged in putting this set together.

This custom MilliporeSigma set is a fully branded DNA double helix featuring the MilliporeSigma logo on one side, and the PURedit® Cas9 Cytosine Base Editors’ marketing slogan “be the base edit boss,” on the other.

This design, combined with Playwell Bricks’ bulk manufacturing processes, provided MilliporeSigma with 500 of these sets for their product launch and conference event to help with adoption and engagement of their new PURedit® Cas9 Cytosine Base Editors.
