Industrial Assets
The sets that the team at MaintainX envisioned were specific to the individual client’s industries; the very assets that MaintainX helps maintain. Some industry assets overlap, Playwell’s contact at MaintainX explained, such as a forklift, which multiple industries make use of, but for these gifts, they wanted to be far more specific and really make an impact with their gift.
Likewise, they wanted these sets shipped as finished models, meaning that Playwell Bricks would design, build, and then glue the final sets together before shipping.
Bricks Sets of the Assets
MaintainX explained that they wanted four distinct sets: a plastic recycling extruder, an uninterruptible power source (UPS), a welding robot, and the cab of a tractor-trailer. Playwell Bricks designer Pedro Lara handled the tractor-trailer, while Yvonne Ymari designed both the UPS and the extruder, and finally, Petrus Gartler brought the welding robot to life.
To unite each of these different sets together, the team at MaintainX asked Playwell Bricks to add in a minifigure holding an iPad that features the MaintainX logo. This, of course, represents MaintainX’s role in the asset and reminds recipients of who sent this personalized gift.
Once designed, another Playwell Bricks team member, Tim Howell, began work of gluing the bricks and carefully packing up these treasures for their final destination: MaintainX’s clients.
