Playwell’s contact at MaintainX let the team know that playable bricks have always been part of their internal culture, and that bespoke builds naturally fit with who they are. But they didn’t want a single, one-size-fits-all set to go to their clients, they wanted these bespoke gifts to be tailored to the assets the clients use MaintainX for. They also requested that these sets be fully built and glued before delivery.

Playwell Bricks designed four distinct sets for this project: a plastic recycling extruder, an uninterruptible power source (UPS), a welding robot, and an 18-wheeler. Playwell Bricks designer Pedro Lara handled the 18-wheeler, while Yvonne Ymari designed both the UPS and the extruder, and Petrus Gartler brought the welding robot to life. Each set also included a minifigure holding an iPad featuring the MaintainX logo.

Once the designs were finalized and build instructions were ready, another Playwell team member, Tim Howell, assembled and secured the sets before sending them to MaintainX’s clients.
