Designing the GOAT for LogicGate
Introduction
LogicGate helps companies stay on top of risks, rules, and regulations by making the process easier and more organized. Their platform, called Risk Cloud, lets businesses quickly set up custom systems without needing to write any code. It pulls together information from different tools and helps teams work together using real-time data. This allows companies to spot potential problems early, stay compliant, and make smarter decisions.

the challenge
LogicGate had a client event on the horizon they wanted to commission marketing swag for, but they also had a major internal event coming up that needed an employee gift. This client knew that whenever nice swag was offered, their staff would want to get their hands on it, too. LogicGate decided to embrace that tendency and order their custom Playwell Bricks set in a quantity that would cover both sets of gift recipients. The challenge lay in choosing a subject for this special set that would resonate with both clients and staff.
the solution
LogicGate explained that they have an unofficial goat mascot that’s actually a nod to a test account used in the early development of their Risk Cloud. This goat has “since become a cherished part of LogicGate’s culture, representing innovation, determination, and a touch of humour.” Clearly, a custom Playwell Bricks goat set would mean a lot to the employees, but what about the clients?
LogicGate suggested to put a t-shirt on the goat that had their logo on it, for branding purposes. Pop culture could take it from there, since the term GOAT is used for Greatest Of All Time after all, and LogicGate was happy to take on such a moniker.
the result
Playwell Bricks designer Kostik Poloskin got started on the goat. “I did some research into goat design and made a moodboard to work from.” His goal? He wanted the goat to be both cute and fun. “The legs have multiples positions, which makes for a nice play experience.” As for cute, well, just look at those pictures.
quotes
Once the design was sent to LogicGate for approvals, they wasted no time in telling Playwell Bricks, “I’m excited to share that our whole team LOVES how this came together!” That’s what our designers love to hear.
