If you’ve never heard the words “adorable” and “lawnmower” in the same sentence before, you are going to love this custom Lil’ Mower set Playwell Bricks designed for Keesen Landscape.

Playwell’s contact at Keesen Landscape explained to the team that they were looking for a custom-designed brick set that would represent the company but might also appeal to those outside the landscaping industry. They explained that they had a few city networking events on the horizon they wanted to bring a gift to, and after recently being on the receiving end of a buildable brick gift, they wanted to capture and share the same delight they experienced at their event.

After considering a few different ideas, the client decided to go with a lawnmower set. Playwell Bricks’ designer created the first concept: a lawnmower on a patch of grass surrounded by cheery flowers. The client loved the lawnmower, but as a landscaping company, they didn’t want it to seem like the mower was going through a flowerbed.

In retrospect, this made complete sense, and the designer had to take some good-natured ribbing about it from the rest of the design crew.

The designer changed out the flowers, using (ahem) green Wolverine™ claws to represent the blades of grass. The client liked this design much better, but their eye for their industry came through again when they asked that all the grassy elements behind the mower be removed, to look more like the grass behind the mower had been, well, mowed.

Once the production and delivery of these sets were complete, the Playwell team was thrilled to see these make an appearance on their contact’s LinkedIn feed for not one, but two networking events in the client’s city.
