The design of this microscale trailer was completed by Playwell Bricks’ team member Paul Lavallee, and he is more than happy to talk about it. “Working at a very small scale means limitations in how much detail can be included. The client wanted to include details such as the opening side panel and some representation of the equipment displayed inside.

“Working at such a small scale, you can only get so many details and there are only so many small parts to choose from that have shapes needed to make a set that really represents this client's trailer. A large part of the design for this set was iterating over and over with many different small parts until I found the right combination to create a good visual representation of those important details.”

Paul is proud of that he was able to make the requested details happen “as well as an awning that overhangs the opening side panel.” He goes on to tell me another thing he’s proud of is that “it has some moving parts and play features that I enjoyed including. Many small sets like this are static.”

Paul explains, “During the production of this project, Playwell Bricks was going through some big shifts in terms of our production process and pipeline and this project helped us to make some changes and updates to help improve and speed up the projects. We were able to find some fixes to the way we organize projects and designs and the entire team worked well to create these new processes.”
