How Playwell Bricks Created a Landmark Set for the Rockefeller Group
introduction
When Stonebridge and the Rockefeller Group set out to create a landmark new building in Washington DC, Mosaic North America set out to help them turn this building into a cultural touchstone. With construction scheduled for completion in 2025, 600 Fifth is already iconic.
the challenge
Mosaic North America needed a corporate gift for the CEOs and board members involved to celebrate this ambitious project. Something that would represent the project well, offer a positive experience, as well as being a high end, quality item the recipients would proudly display.
the solution
A creative director from Mosaic reached out to Playwell Bricks to collaborate on a custom Playwell set of the unfinished building. Working from digital imaging and plans, Playwell Bricks CEO Jason Pyett began designing a scale model of the beautiful 600 Fifth building, bringing his own fascination for the building into play. “It’s a pretty cool, mixed-use space,” he explains.
the result
After Jason delivered what would prove to be the final model, the creative director from Mosaic North America took him aside. Not only did Rockefeller increase their initial order from 100 to 250 sets, Mosaic received no criticisms or complaint, which the creative director explained “never happens.”
