Good Steward Consulting (GSC) was created after its founder witnessed profound resistance from a rural community to a renewables company that was visibly improving that same community. The problem, they determined, lay in the presentation and communication. Those big companies just didn’t know how to talk to or build trust with rural folk, and this would be the niche that GSC grew to fill.

The team at GSC wanted a holiday gift for both their clients and their team that represented the Good Steward Consulting brand and how GSC builds their clients’ brands in rural areas. Their ideal set would include symbols of rural life as well as renewable energy.

Working from a previous renewable energy design, Playwell Bricks designer Eric Dubois Yang began converting the branding and including GSC’s ideas. “It was a bit of a struggle to get the parts count down so there was a discussion to have multiple really simple wind turbines or to have one really well refined one,” he explains. Cutting back to a single wind turbine allowed him to include a simple red barn, silo, and mini-sheep, all while keeping within the client’s budget.
