Global Maritime is a multidisciplinary consultancy firm that helps their clients navigate complex problems in offshore projects from design to completion. One aspect of this offshore world is the offshore wind farms in the renewables sector, and it turns out, there’s multiple floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) involved in this sector.

Playwell Bricks designer Pedro Lara began by learning the differences between the three types of FOWT the client wanted represented. Once he understood, he was able to design the wind turbines with marked differences in the bases to match each type and purpose. The base itself was designed to resemble the sea; using angled bricks to give the appearance of waves and blue and white colours to show the white caps on the brick waves.

This custom-designed set enables Global Maritime to give out a one-of-a-kind, three-in-one set that represents what they and their clients do.
