2025 marked DS Containers’ 25th year of being in business, and they wanted to mark the milestone. Their team planned a special event to celebrate two decades of innovations and growth with their employees, retired employees, clients, and suppliers. In addition to the event itself, they also wanted to offer a special gift unique to DS Containers, so they scheduled a discovery with Playwell Bricks.

The subject of DS Containers’ custom anniversary set would be their aerosol cans. Using Japanese technology, DS Containers creates an aerosol can that is made of two pieces, including the “integrated dome shoulder” and seamless body that attaches to the bottom, or end component. These cans are manufactured from steel with PET laminate that can be printed in up to eight colours.

Needless to say, these special cans are the pride of DS Containers, and it was just this can that they wanted to see brought to life in bricks for their anniversary team gift.

Playwell Bricks CEO and lead designer Jason Pyett designed this set for DS Containers, creating a life-size, custom brick set of their product. Working closely with DS Containers, Playwell’s graphic designers created a decal of the DS Containers 20th anniversary logo to emblazon the side of this vibrant set.

But this set was not yet complete. DS Containers provided text to be included in this set’s Build Instructions that explained their processes and story. This way, when their giftees are fully engaged with building this DS Containers Can, they are also learning about the company, what they do, and where they come from. It’s a fully branded experience DS Containers’ recipients will remember for years to come.
