Bringing Country Partner’s Vision to Life

Country Partners Cooperative (CPC) is an agricultural co-op in Central Nebraska (U.S.A.). Every quarter, they host an onboarding program for their new members, and this year, they came up with an idea to make this more fun while staying on-brand and down-to-earth. They contacted Playwell Bricks to see if Playwell could design a custom Playwell Bricks set that would make it happen.
What the Client Wanted
“We want to create a challenge for our new group of employees. We had in mind that they could be divided into groups and in that group, one person would have the build instructions and would have to try to explain to their team how to build the set,” Playwell’s contact at CPC explained. Of course, everyone in the group would go home with their own personal set as well.
Designing the Set
To begin, CPC sent over photographs of the agricultural sprayer that they’d like Playwell Bricks to recreate in bricks. Playwell Bricks designer Norman Roldan handled it from there.
“One of the things that stood out the most to me was having to create a much smaller and simpler design to accommodate what was my first corporate commission for a run of hundreds of sets,” Norman explains.
"Constraining the design of a large piece of farm machinery to such a small size seemed intimidating at first, but then I realized there was a surprising level of elegance that came with meeting such a goal, so the final result was very rewarding.
“My favorite part about the design was the driver’s seat. I got the opportunity to get really creative and implemented a solution that incorporated--what I affectionately like to call--the espresso machine handle, a wrench, and a clip plate.”
Conclusion
Upon delivery, Johna Norton, Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Country Partners, reached out to let Playwell know, “It was amazing!
