Continental Truck Tires wanted a tradeshow giveaway that went beyond ordinary branded swag. Their goal was to create a promotional item that showcased their long-haul tires, highlighted their new partnership with Samara Smart Trailer Solutions, and left a memorable impression on attendees. To achieve this, they partnered with Playwell Bricks to design a custom microscale semi-truck set.

The project required more than just a miniature truck: both the tires and the trailer had to be prominently featured to reflect Continental’s brand story. Adding complexity, the design needed to be accurate, on-brand, and functional at a very small scale of only 68 pieces. In addition, ensuring the client’s branding was faithfully represented, including decals, was a critical part of the process.

Playwell Bricks designers Jason Pyett and Jared Oswald collaborated on the build. Jared created the initial model, which Jason refined to align with Continental’s brand colours and specific requests. A key feature was the detachable trailer, which the team achieved through a cleverly engineered latching mechanism. Given the compact size of the set, this was a standout detail.

During production, a printing error meant only one Continental logo decal was included instead of the two required for both sides of the trailer. Once notified, the Playwell team quickly resolved the issue, ensuring the final sets met the client’s branding needs.

Continental Truck Tires received their custom semi-truck sets on time for the tradeshow, where they were distributed as promotional giveaways. The builds were well received, showcasing both the tires and trailer while reinforcing Continental’s partnership with Samara Smart Trailer Solutions. The project’s success was highlighted when Continental proudly shared the sets on their official LinkedIn page, extending the reach of the campaign beyond the show floor.
