Foodservice Distribution company Ben E. Keith knows the skill and effort required to maintain a clean safety record, whether it’s driving the tractor-trailers that deliver food and beverages across 20 U.S. states, or working in the warehouse to load and unload those same trucks.

That’s why they came to Playwell Bricks to commission a custom tractor-trailer set: it would give them the opportunity to celebrate the team members who did just that and were now set to represent the brand at the International Foodservice Distributors Association’s national championship.

Playwell’s contact at Ben E. Keith wanted a custom tractor-trailer set. A simple enough concept, but the challenge lay in the multiple decals they wanted to make this set truly represent Ben E. Keith. The brand took immense pride in the truck wraps used on the real-life tractor-trailer and wanted them to be present in their custom set as well.

Playwell Bricks’ Thiago Brisolla designed the brick tractor-trailer, as well as a road-like base for the set to rest on, and then turned the dimensions over to the Playwell Bricks graphic design team to work on those truck wrap decals.

Because of the size difference in a miniature set, many of the details that make a truck wrap impressive are lost, so the graphic designers focussed on what mattered: the brand.

Rather than a detailed wrap, they designed the sides of the trailer with the Ben E. Keith Co. oval logo, and the truck doors carry the smaller BEK logo. Representing Folds of Honor, a charity dear to their hearts, was also important to the team at Ben E. Keith, so this logo is showcased on the rear doors of the trailer.
