How this Custom Set Lets Kids Build Their Birthday Party All Year Long
Introduction
Unleashed Brands Snapology is a STEAM enrichment program for children that uses building materials like LEGO® bricks and K’Nex to teach robotics, coding, STEAM concepts, and creative problem-solving.
The Snapology Discovery Centers are co-located with another Unleashed Brand, The Little Gym, which offers gymnastics and movement classes for children. A representative from Unleashed Brands contacted Playwell Bricks to discuss a custom-designed party favour for their birthday party celebrations.
The Challenge
The client wanted this birthday party favour to represent a birthday party in The Little Gym and Snapology Discovery Center, along with bright, appealing colours and the brands' logo.
The Solution
Playwell Bricks designer Eric Dubois Yang created the first concept of this brick party space and sent it to the client for consideration. This is an important first step in any Playwell Bricks project, because this is where the client has the opportunity to make these sets their own, pointing out details and colours that should be changed to make something on-brand.
Eric then changed out these details, swapping the bench he’d originally included for stools, swapping out colours for a brighter, more vibrant set, etc., until the client gave the final okay to move into production.
Because this set is intended for children, Playwell Bricks added a special step: ensuring that every brick involved in this set was tested and complied with children’s safety standards, known as the Children’s Product Certificate in the U.S. where this client was located.
The Result
With this custom birthday gift set, the Snapology Discovery Center has a unique gift for their birthday parties that will allow children to replay their favorite part of their birthday celebration over and over again. It’s bright, colourful, and showcases the logo of the brand behind all the fun.
The Children’s Product Certificate also gives Unleashed Brands the peace of mind knowing this toy had been tested safe for the children.
