The team at Total Finishing Solutions came to Playwell Bricks with a unique challenge: turn the VIPER® Mix Tech Air Assisted Airless Manual Spray Gun into a custom Playwell Bricks set. Needless to say, the team was excited to get started.
THE DESIGN
Playwell Bricks designer Eric Dubois Y. led the charge on this build, focusing on balancing scale, functionality, and visual impact. “It was challenging to size it down to the piece limit, but eventually we did it,” Eric says. “I'm very proud of the part optimization of this project,” he adds, “and very proud to have made it this size while keeping it in budget and production size.”
One of the biggest design hurdles was matching the spray gun’s signature green color. Sourcing enough bricks in the right shade to create a consistent and polished look for multiple copies of the set required careful planning and some deep dives into brick inventory. While it can be a challenge, matching brand colours is an important part of the service Playwell Bricks provides, so Eric made it happen.
Once the paint gun itself was complete, Eric added a base so the paint gun could sit on display. The long, thin nature of the paint gun required a little extra to show it off.
THE RESULT
The result? A custom Playwell Bricks set that captures the rugged, refined spirit of the VIPER® Mix Tech, ready to make a splash as a giveaway item at Total Finishing Solutions trade show events. Visitors walked away with a tangible, memorable representation of the product, built brick-by-brick.
