The Roger Ascham Primary School is an academy school in London. Like most primary schools, this one is a tightly knit community of teachers and students, so when their Headmaster headed into retirement, they wanted to send them off with a special gift.

But what do you get for a Headmaster that’s played such an important role in their community? These clients had a beautiful idea: why not create a custom bricks set – something that speaks of childhood, learning, and nostalgia. Working from images and with considerable skill, Playwell Bricks designer Eric Dubois Yang did not let anything keep him from delivering this set on time despite a tight schedule. He worked with a finely tuned eye to “scale down [the school] and choose key sections, so that the final set evokes the maximum meaning to the client who is going to receive,” he explains.

Thanks to Eric’s experience, effort, and the team’s help, this custom Roger Ascham school set arrived on time for the Headmaster’s retirement. Playwell Bricks hopes this bespoke set keeps the memory of the years spent as Headmaster vivid and alive.
