Investa knows what people are looking for in an office building. They want something that’s a destination, something that will bring people back into the city and give them a sense of pride. Parkline Place, designed by the Foster & Partners architect firm, is one such building in Sydney, Australia. This building is a landmark that marks the eastern gateway to the city.

Behind every such building are countless moments of collaboration and excellence, each one building on each other. So when this project reached completion, Investa wanted a commemorative gift that would speak to every one of those moments and honour the space they’d created together.

Investa came to Playwell Bricks with a solid idea of what they wanted, but it was important to them that the final design show off the details. It was an unusual request from Playwell Bricks’ perspective, when Investa requested not one, but two initial designs: one set of 350 bricks, and another of 1000 bricks, but the team was happy to comply. After all, this was the best way for Investa to be sure they would get the detail they were hoping for.

Playwell Bricks designer Garrett Gourley handled these designs and ultimately, Investa chose the bigger set that allowed the greater detail.

“One of my passions is designing architecture models,” says Garrett. “It was a pleasure to build a creative building like Parkline Place. I took on the challenge of capturing as much detail as possible within the limited piece count requested by the client. I was able to take my love for architecture and capture it to commemorate their latest creation.”
