In the brick community, brand-name bricks include what’s known as “brittle brown.” Something in the chemical combination to create the color also made this particular shade of brick prone to breakage. The LEGO® Group phased out those bricks circa 2019, but every once in a while, one of them turns up.

Of course, it’s never a good thing when they turn up on a big deal commission with a major brand… which brings us back to Jason’s pockets full of bricks.
