An Unexpected Milestone Moment
Playwell Bricks CEO Jason Pyett likes to mention that he’s always amazed where Playwell Bricks has taken him. Each new milestone brings with it a wave of excitement and awe.
One of the first big ‘wows’ of his career came when Playwell Bricks received the Google commission to create ten production sets for the rebrand of their Bug Hunters program. Included in those sets, was the Grace Hopper Google Doodle.
So it’s only fitting that this next honour comes from the GB200 superchip, part of the Grace Hopper superchip family. When Fluidstack contacted Playwell Bricks to commission a custom superchip set, Jason was delighted to do the design. “I was mimicking an existing graphics chip, which are incredibly complicated.” Of course, he loved every minute of it. “It felt like I was designing a mini futuristic city with all the streets and various buildings,” he recalls.

When Jason saw the photo of the custom Playwell Bricks set signed by Nvidia cofounder Jensen Haung, he got a little starstruck. He’d just reached another one of the milestone moments, and one he hadn’t expected.
“This is easily one of the greatest honours I have had in my short design career,” he wrote. “Maybe one day I will get to meet Jensen Huang himself. For now, I will be incredibly grateful for the fact that he approved of my design. Nine-year-old me is very proud of ‘today’ me.”
I think 2019 Jason, just beginning to understand what he could build with bricks, would be very proud, as well.
