Last year, state-of-the-art room visualization software company Roomvo contacted Playwell Bricks seeking the perfect corporate gift to build connections and represent their brand. They wanted something that would engage recipients and leave a lasting impression. A bespoke build made with genuine LEGO® bricks was the ideal choice, so they commissioned us to design 150 custom sets of a rocket ship emblazoned with their logo.

Designer Nathan Heigert took on this commission, eager to put his skills to work. Building the rocket was the first step and Heigert’s passion for creating brick-built spaceships served him well as the rocket design came to life.

While designing the rocket’s classically shaped body and fins, Heigert added a hidden cockpit that opens up to hold an astronaut, just to increase that fun factor. Next, Heigert focused on creating the rocket’s three-stage-to-orbit system as well as a clear stand to hold the rocket upright.

Once the rocket was ready, stickers were created to match Roomvo’s corporate colors and the Roomvo logo was added to the nose of the rocket. This is part of the bespoke branding that Playwell Bricks provides for our clients to ensure your corporate identity is represented in these custom builds.

Next, Heigert set about designing a box that could double as a stand for the rocket ship. He gave it a starry background to contrast the colors of the rocket and give the impression that the rocket was traveling through space. We try to keep it humble here at Playwell Bricks, but we have to say, this box was amazing.

This Roomvo rocket design went into the portfolio that Heigert used when he applied to the LEGO® Group. And now? Heigert is designing for the OG brick company themselves. We’re so proud of you, Nathan!
